Averett University is a liberal arts university in Danville, Virginia. Mary Jo Davis died in 2008 after having been part of the Averett family for most of her life. She was a beloved figure and former Dean of Students. This oral history project includes recorded interviews with some of the many people who had many fond memories of Mary Jo and Averett.
